Melrose Christmas Parade
We drove into Florida just in time for the Melrose Christmas Parade. This annual celebration of floats, food and fun took place on Saturday, December 14th this year. Lucky for Willie, the theme happened to be “Furry Friends,” focusing on pets, animals and those who provide care and services to them. Willie fit right in!
After watching the Melrose Christmas Parade, we took a break for lunch and Willie got to meet up with Santa. Poor Santa’s sleigh broke down in Starke, Florida (about 18 miles/29km away) so he was forced to walk the entire parade. By the time Willie had his chance to sit on Santa’s lap he was quite worn out and possibly hung over. Hopefully he manages to rest up for his big day!
